Upload Files
Only jpeg and .zip file types can be uploaded. The sole purpose for this page is to provide a simple way for users to upload zipped image files to the server for the webmaster to retrieve. Once uploaded, please send a note to the webmaster to inform of the upload(s).
Be sure to read the Submission Guidelines below.
Submission Guidelines:
- edit the number of photos down to the best shots only; they will likely get combined with others and too many is too much and the thumbnail images get too small; web galleries will likely get limited to 50-60 images each
- exclude blurry shots
- don't resize the images
- select Scouting-related material with Scouts in the shot (show a variety of Scouts - not just one's own; no personal family albums please)
- include a text file (Word, Notepad, etc) in the folder of images with a brief description: name of outing, date
- create a .zip file of your images and text file [right-click the folder and select:
Send To > Compressed (Zipped) Folder]
Uploading
Use the upload tool above to find and upload your files. First, click the Browsebutton to locate your files. Then, click the Submit button to upload it. That's it!
Note:
- Individual jpegs have to be uploaded one at a time.
- Multiple images are best uploaded by creating and uploading Compressed (Zipped) Folders.
- Maximum upload file size is currently set to 100 megabytes. Larger files should be burned to a CD or DVD and submitted to the webmaster by hand.
